University Settlement appoints Eric B. Gyasi to its Board of Directors

Eric B. Gyasi (Partner, BakerHostetler LLP) has been elected to University Settlement’s Board of Directors, the nation’s first settlement house announced today.

At BakerHostetler, Eric guides clients through catastrophic cybersecurity incidents, including ransomware attacks, network breaches, and critical infrastructure intrusions.  He advises clients addressing cybersecurity enterprise risks and implementing cybersecurity governance frameworks in compliance with federal, state, and sector-specific regulations.

His significant board, fiduciary, and non-profit experience includes selection by the Partnership for New York City as a member of the 2023 David Rockefeller Fellows, an immersive professional development program to prepare senior business executives for active engagement in civic and public affairs. Eric is a trustee of the Hackley School where he serves as Secretary of the Board. He served on Manhattan’s Community Board 1, where he represented Lower Manhattan in city government and community affairs, from 2017 until 2021. A lifelong New Yorker, he lives with his wife and two young sons in Lower Manhattan.
