At Home-Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI), our primary goal is to reduce psychiatric hospitalizations and keep young people in their homes. We are dedicated to supporting, stabilizing, and strengthening youth and families in crisis across Manhattan. We provide free in-home services to children ages 5-20 who are either recovering from a psychiatric hospitalization or are at risk of hospitalization.
Our team of highly skilled caseworkers work one-on-one with families for six weeks, providing services including, but not limited to: skill-building, problem-solving, advocacy, coordination of services, short-term counseling, family mediation, parenting support, as well as links to long-term and community-based programs.
HBCI services are designed to be flexible, catering to the unique needs of the children and families we serve, and are available in English, Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
