Why consider purchasing a sponsorship? City Stories: Powered By Humanity is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and the money we raise is invested directly into our programs that support more than 40,000 New Yorkers across Manhattan and Brooklyn. Pay via Wire Transfer or Appreciated Securities

Pay via Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
Per IRS guidelines, DAFs cannot be used to pay for tickets or tables to fundraising events, galas or auctions. Furthermore, DAF grants cannot be used to pay the tax-deductible portion of a ticket or table if the full cost includes both a tax deductible and non-deductible portion. However, we encourage you to consult with your financial advisors should you wish to use this form of payment.
City Stories: Powered By Humanity is our biggest fundraiser of the year. If you can’t attend, but want to support this effort, your fully tax-deductible gift will be invested directly into the communities we call home, where it’s needed most. Your support will help build an NYC that works for everyone.

Where do the funds go?
The money raised at our annual City Stories Gala is invested into our continuum of programming that ensures all New Yorkers can lead healthy, remarkable, and sustainable lives. This includes early childhood education, youth development programs, services for the aging, eviction prevention, mental health and wellness, adult literacy, and the arts.
What is the dress code?
We recommend festive cocktail attire.
What is the schedule for the evening?
6 pm – 7:15 pm – Cocktail Hour
7:15 pm – 8:45 pm – Program & Dinner
8:45 pm – 9:30 pm – Coffee & Dessert

What do I do if I purchased a sponsorship but don’t know who’s sitting at my table yet?
We understand you may need a moment to confirm which lucky friends will join you! We ask that as soon as you can determine who will be joining you at your table, please email Nancy Faragalla at nfaragalla@universitysettlement.org with the following information.

Trinity’s Neighborhood Council
Trinity’s Neighborhood Council is an advisory group that helps help Trinity Church understand and address the needs of its Lower Manhattan neighborhood. Members of the council — nonprofit leaders, community organizers, policymakers, residents, and other stakeholders — work with Trinity and one another to improve the well-being of children and families in our community.

John B. King, Jr., Chancellor of the State University of New York (SUNY)
John B. King, Jr. is the 15th Chancellor of the State University of New York (SUNY). Before being appointed SUNY Chancellor, he served as president of The Education Trust, a national civil rights nonprofit, and Professor of the Practice at the University of Maryland College Park. Prior to this, Chancellor King served in President Barack Obama’s cabinet as the 10th U.S. Secretary of Education.
