Adrian Costa
Adrian Costa (He/Him/His) is a playwright, director, actor and theatre maker, leveraging his rigorous academic and creative discipline to channel and challenge the uncanny politics of love in American life. His work explores the underbelly of contemporary political discourse, emphasizsing its moral compromises and discursive failures to elicit a more rounded and loving disposition to the world’s most dire questions around identity, community, and the struggles of loving eachother inconsequentially.
His work has been hosted in venues like the Performance Space 122, Mabou Mines, PRTT, New York Theatre Workshop, New York Live Arts, and The Tank. Adrian’s full-length play, STRIVING, received special acknowledgment from The Relentless Award and the Van Lier fellowship at Rattlestick Theatre. Currently, Adrian is developing his next full-length play: “SPANISH BOMBS! or abuela’s memories of the war & other stories”. Adrian’s work is relentless, cerebral, humane,, and politically poignant, socratically designed to drive towards embracing a politics of love in American life.
