Actor, dancer and poet Joseph Monroe Webb has showcased his talent in many ways over the years including the Tony Award-winning Broadway production, Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk. Beth Soll & Company: Restless Geometry

Within the perfect geometry of the French formal gardens, nobles frolicked, lusted and plotted the deaths of others. It is this juxtaposition of human fallibility and mathematical perfection that led to the creation of Restless Geometry. Witness the dancers wrestling with the constraints of the shapes they create.

Artistic collaborators Jules Gimbrone (composer), Elliot Montague (filmmaker) and Jules Skloot (choreographer) weave together a visceral exploration of liminal states. Alaine Handa: Chameleon

Chameleon combines dance, film, spoken word and visual art to investigate multi-cultural identity and cross-cultural relationships. Rooted in the notion of home, this show draws on the insight and experience of Third Culture Kids: those who have spent a significant period of time in a culture other than their own, creating a new third culture. Dance Through The Stages

Presented in Collaboration with Peridance Capezio Center
From creative exploration to professional artistry, experience the different stages of dance in one family-friendly program. Children will be amazed to see their peers, including University Settlement youth and the amazing PeriChild Ensemble, sharing the stage with dynamic professional choreographers Sean Curran, Diego Funes, Igal Perry, Deborah Damast&Kaleidoscope Dance Company, and the Limon Professional Studies Program.

Mud/Bone presents
Impossible Country, an original play that illuminates the diverse experiences of refugees fleeing injustice and persecution and beginning new lives. Developed through workshops and interviews with the refugee community in New York City,
Impossible Country is inspired by true stories of courage, hope and surprising humor, and explores what it means to leave behind everything you know and start anew.

March 8, April 19 & May 10 @ 7pm Live Arts Collaboration
and The Performance Project offer The Salon Series, where artists meet
artists meet audiences to unwrap the creative process. Each evening,
selected artists from across disciplines share samples of their work,
illuminate their process and seek out collaboration, conversation and
connection.

March 29 & May 24 @ 7pm The Performance Project teams up with the
Ontological-Hysteric Incubator
to tackle issues confronting the NY performing arts community. Each
salon will be moderated by an arts blogger and feature a panel of
artists currently engaged with the Project or the Incubator.
Artists-in-Residence and Curated Rental Program
The Performance Project is committed to building new and diverse audiences for live performance and reaching out to people of all ages and backgrounds who have little access to the arts. Towards that end, teaching artists lead workshops and classes in dance, drama, music and visual art for Settlement participants of all ages. In addition, our
Artist-in-Residence program provides invaluable opportunities for community members to engage with working artists in the artistic process.

The PeriChild Ensemble will be working directly with University Settlement program participants and staff.
Alaine Handa's company will be collaborating
with our Houston Street Center, offering a performance on March 30 as part of
the Tuesdays with US series, and mounting a Third
Culture Kid photography show that will open on April 30.
In addition, The Performance Project welcomes artists to apply to be a part of our
Curated Rental Program. If selected, your production will be presented by The Performance Project and marketed as part of our Spring or Fall season. The rental agreement will be tailored to best serve the needs, budget and ambitions of the production.
